Relapse (2025)
Beginning imperceptibly at the exact moment of sunset, the performance held the day open—light filtering through ceiling windows until the room burned in deep red-orange, as if the earth’s rotation had slowed. This was no spectacle, but a manipulation of the unconscious: a stretched threshold between day and night, where perception became both sharpened and unstable.
Surrounded by this obscure ambience, the audience stood inside a choreography of overstimulation and exhaustion. Relapse confronted the disorders of technological ecologies: addictive repetition, sensory saturation, and the strange allure of doom. But it refused total collapse. What remained was not resignation, but a clear responsibility: to conspire differently, to transform the bad trip of our multi-crises into a collective alertness that resists becoming yet another monster.
